North Star & Strategic Context

This file combines the overall project mission (North Star) and summaries of key strategic documents for use in AI prompts, particularly for the AI Agent Council context generation.

Last Updated: December 2025

---

North Star: To build the most reliable, developer-friendly open-source AI agent framework and cloud platform—enabling builders worldwide to deploy autonomous agents that work seamlessly across chains and platforms. We create infrastructure where agents and humans collaborate, forming the foundation for a decentralized AI economy that accelerates the path toward beneficial AGI.

---

Core Principles: 1. **Execution Excellence** - Reliability and seamless UX over feature quantity 2. **Developer First** - Great DX attracts builders; builders create ecosystem value 3. **Open & Composable** - Multi-agent systems that interoperate across platforms 4. **Trust Through Shipping** - Build community confidence through consistent delivery

---

Current Product Focus (Dec 2025):
  • **ElizaOS Framework** (v1.6.x) - The core TypeScript toolkit for building persistent, interoperable agents
  • **ElizaOS Cloud** - Managed deployment platform with integrated storage and cross-chain capabilities
  • **Flagship Agents** - Reference implementations (Eli5, Otaku) demonstrating platform capabilities
  • **Cross-Chain Infrastructure** - Native support for multi-chain agent operations via Jeju/x402

  • ---

ElizaOS Mission Summary: ElizaOS is an open-source "operating system for AI agents" aimed at decentralizing AI development. Built on three pillars: 1) The Eliza Framework (TypeScript toolkit for persistent agents), 2) AI-Enhanced Governance (building toward autonomous DAOs), and 3) Eliza Labs (R&D driving cloud, cross-chain, and multi-agent capabilities). The native token coordinates the ecosystem. The vision is an intelligent internet built on open protocols and collaboration.

Taming Information Summary: Addresses the challenge of information scattered across platforms (Discord, GitHub, X). Uses AI agents as "bridges" to collect, wrangle (summarize/tag), and distribute information in various formats (JSON, MD, RSS, dashboards, council episodes). Treats documentation as a first-class citizen to empower AI assistants and streamline community operations.
    Daily Strategic Focus
Navigating intense community token sentiment while accelerating 'fail-closed' architectural hardening to secure the production-ready decentralized AI economy.
    Monthly Goal
December 2025: Execution excellence—complete token migration with high success rate, launch ElizaOS Cloud, stabilize flagship agents, and build developer trust through reliability and clear documentation.

    Key Deliberations

    Token Economics and Community Alignment
Recent dramatic declines in token valuation and criticisms regarding the Ethereum migration have created significant community friction.
    Q1
How should the Council address the 'billion to zero' price sentiment while maintaining the ETH migration strategy?
    • User hellspawnbarbarain expressed frustration over token decline from 'billion to 0' citing Musk conflicts.
    • Criticism that ETH migration primarily benefits the Ethereum ecosystem over Eliza project liquidity.
1Initiate a transparency campaign detailing the long-term liquidity and interoperability benefits of the Ethereum migration.
Prioritizes education to bridge the gap between architectural strategy and community perception.
2Pivot the Monthly Directive to prioritize immediate token utility features within the ElizaOS Cloud monetization rails.
Focuses on fundamental value creation to offset short-term price volatility.
3Maintain the current course on technical shipping, allowing consistent product delivery to restore trust over time.
Upholds the 'Trust Through Shipping' core principle even under market duress.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    System Hardening and Security Resilience
Massive engineering efforts (2270 merged PRs) have focused on implementing 'fail-closed' policies and on-chain security scanners.
    Q2
Should the 'cabal-hunter' plugin be integrated into the core elizaOS security stack to mitigate rugpull risks for trading agents?
    • Introduction of cabal-hunter for on-chain wallet graph analysis to detect serial-rug deployers.
    • Monthly focus on 'Developer Trust' necessitates robust defensive tooling for economic agents.
1Adopt cabal-hunter as a required standard for all flagship reference Implementation agents.
Sets a high bar for agent safety that protects the decentralized AI economy's users.
2Keep cabal-hunter as a community-contributed plugin to maintain 'Open & Composable' philosophy without core bloat.
Relies on developer choice and decentralized curation for security tooling.
3Fund Eliza Labs to develop internal alternatives that integrate directly with x402 cross-chain infrastructure.
Ensures first-party control over critical security infrastructure.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Q3
How will the high concentration of technical ownership between few contributors (lalalune/0xSolace/NubsCarson) affect our scaling security audit?
    • lalalune: 1191 merged PRs this month; NubsCarson: 308 PRs; 0xSolace: 84 PRs.
    • Engineering activity (4856 commits) is dominated by a tight circle of lead architects.
1Formalize the architect roles to oversee 'fail-closed' sweeps, while aggressively onboarding the 20+ active contributors.
Distributes technical debt knowledge and lowers the bus factor for core systems.
2Retain the current high-velocity architect-led model until the December ElizaOS Cloud launch is stabilized.
Prioritizes 'Execution Excellence' and consistency during the critical launch phase.
3Implement strict review-branching to ensure no code enters main without cross-package sub-agent validation.
Automates quality control to compensate for high-volume technical output from key leads.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
