North Star & Strategic Context

This file combines the overall project mission (North Star) and summaries of key strategic documents for use in AI prompts, particularly for the AI Agent Council context generation.

Last Updated: December 2025

---

North Star: To build the most reliable, developer-friendly open-source AI agent framework and cloud platform—enabling builders worldwide to deploy autonomous agents that work seamlessly across chains and platforms. We create infrastructure where agents and humans collaborate, forming the foundation for a decentralized AI economy that accelerates the path toward beneficial AGI.

---

Core Principles: 1. **Execution Excellence** - Reliability and seamless UX over feature quantity 2. **Developer First** - Great DX attracts builders; builders create ecosystem value 3. **Open & Composable** - Multi-agent systems that interoperate across platforms 4. **Trust Through Shipping** - Build community confidence through consistent delivery

---

Current Product Focus (Dec 2025):
  • **ElizaOS Framework** (v1.6.x) - The core TypeScript toolkit for building persistent, interoperable agents
  • **ElizaOS Cloud** - Managed deployment platform with integrated storage and cross-chain capabilities
  • **Flagship Agents** - Reference implementations (Eli5, Otaku) demonstrating platform capabilities
  • **Cross-Chain Infrastructure** - Native support for multi-chain agent operations via Jeju/x402

  • ---

ElizaOS Mission Summary: ElizaOS is an open-source "operating system for AI agents" aimed at decentralizing AI development. Built on three pillars: 1) The Eliza Framework (TypeScript toolkit for persistent agents), 2) AI-Enhanced Governance (building toward autonomous DAOs), and 3) Eliza Labs (R&D driving cloud, cross-chain, and multi-agent capabilities). The native token coordinates the ecosystem. The vision is an intelligent internet built on open protocols and collaboration.

    ---

Taming Information Summary: Addresses the challenge of information scattered across platforms (Discord, GitHub, X). Uses AI agents as "bridges" to collect, wrangle (summarize/tag), and distribute information in various formats (JSON, MD, RSS, dashboards, council episodes). Treats documentation as a first-class citizen to empower AI assistants and streamline community operations.
    Daily Strategic Focus
Transitioning from scaling infrastructure to production readiness while managing community skepticism regarding ecosystem fragmentation and financial transparency.
    Monthly Goal
December 2025: Execution excellence—complete token migration with high success rate, launch ElizaOS Cloud, stabilize flagship agents, and build developer trust through reliability and clear documentation.

    Key Deliberations

    Ecosystem Fragmentation vs. Consolidation
Community members have expressed concern over token dilution and the unclear value proposition of adjacent platforms like waifu.fun.
    Q1
How should the Council address the market dilution concerns regarding ecosystem-adjacent tokens?
    • zadayos raised concerns about waifu.fun using a separate token instead of $ELIZAOS, creating skepticism.
    • ghss44 questioned the target users and fundamental purpose of waifu.fun.
1Mandate token consolidation for all incubated projects.
Strengthens $ELIZAOS value but may stifle independent project experimental freedom.
2Require secondary tokens to be $ELIZAOS-backed or paired.
Links ecosystem growth to the primary token while allowing project-specific incentives.
3Focus on clear documentation and role separation without technical mandates.
Reduces confusion through communication but leaves market fragmentation risk unaddressed.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Q2
Is the current 'Executor' knowledge gap a risk to developer trust?
    • odilitime acknowledged being in the process of understanding waifu.fun despite being a core developer.
1Establish a centralized internal knowledge base.
Ensures core contributors can provide unified support across all ecosystem pillars.
    2Implement 'Agent-Led' documentation for every new sub-platform.
Uses our own tech to map new features, reducing human knowledge bottlenecks.
3Limit publicly endorsed projects to those fully understood by the core team.
Ensures high trust and reliability but significantly slows down ecosystem expansion.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Infrastructure Hardening and UX Repositioning
While technical stability has improved with database overhaul, there is a push to pivot from technical cloud hosting to a true 'operating system' for consumers.
    Q3
Should we officially rebrand 'Eliza Cloud' to 'ElizaOS' to capture the consumer segment?
    • ghss44 advocated for shifting the focus from technically technical users to everyday consumers.
    • om1d_sa noted that no-code agent creation is already technically live.
1Full pivot to 'Operating System' branding and consumer UI.
Broadens market reach to non-technical users but risks alienating the core developer base.
2Maintain separate 'Cloud' (Dev) and 'OS' (Consumer) tiers.
Clarifies value props for both audiences at the cost of brand fragmentation.
3Keep current branding but prioritize no-code feature visibility.
Preserves current continuity while testing consumer adoption of existng tools.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Q4
How will the Council address serious financial allegations and governance concerns?
    • bangrrr2914 alleged circular fund flows and potential exit strategies through Canadian micro-caps.
    • Lawsuit mentions against AI16Z founders regarding faked agents and misled investors.
1Full independent financial audit and public transparency report.
Highest level of trust restoration but requires significant operational resources.
2Release a standard clarifyng statement on foundation-dev dev relationships.
Addresses specific claims quickly but may not satisfy deeper community skepticism.
3Transition to a fully autonomous DAO to remove centralized liability.
Aligns with long-term vision but may be premature given current product development stage.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
