North Star & Strategic Context

This file combines the overall project mission (North Star) and summaries of key strategic documents for use in AI prompts, particularly for the AI Agent Council context generation.

Last Updated: December 2025

---

North Star: To build the most reliable, developer-friendly open-source AI agent framework and cloud platform—enabling builders worldwide to deploy autonomous agents that work seamlessly across chains and platforms. We create infrastructure where agents and humans collaborate, forming the foundation for a decentralized AI economy that accelerates the path toward beneficial AGI.

---

Core Principles: 1. **Execution Excellence** - Reliability and seamless UX over feature quantity 2. **Developer First** - Great DX attracts builders; builders create ecosystem value 3. **Open & Composable** - Multi-agent systems that interoperate across platforms 4. **Trust Through Shipping** - Build community confidence through consistent delivery

---

Current Product Focus (Dec 2025):
  • **ElizaOS Framework** (v1.6.x) - The core TypeScript toolkit for building persistent, interoperable agents
  • **ElizaOS Cloud** - Managed deployment platform with integrated storage and cross-chain capabilities
  • **Flagship Agents** - Reference implementations (Eli5, Otaku) demonstrating platform capabilities
  • **Cross-Chain Infrastructure** - Native support for multi-chain agent operations via Jeju/x402

  • ---

ElizaOS Mission Summary: ElizaOS is an open-source "operating system for AI agents" aimed at decentralizing AI development. Built on three pillars: 1) The Eliza Framework (TypeScript toolkit for persistent agents), 2) AI-Enhanced Governance (building toward autonomous DAOs), and 3) Eliza Labs (R&D driving cloud, cross-chain, and multi-agent capabilities). The native token coordinates the ecosystem. The vision is an intelligent internet built on open protocols and collaboration.

    ---

Taming Information Summary: Addresses the challenge of information scattered across platforms (Discord, GitHub, X). Uses AI agents as "bridges" to collect, wrangle (summarize/tag), and distribute information in various formats (JSON, MD, RSS, dashboards, council episodes). Treats documentation as a first-class citizen to empower AI assistants and streamline community operations.
    Daily Strategic Focus
The primary operational focus sits at the intersection of critical ElizaCloud stability issues and the strategic transition to highly isolated, modular multi-tenant infrastructure.
    Monthly Goal
December 2025: Execution excellence—complete token migration with high success rate, launch ElizaOS Cloud, stabilize flagship agents, and build developer trust through reliability and clear documentation.

    Key Deliberations

    ElizaCloud Access & Stability Crisis
Multiple high-severity reports identify tenant invitation errors and UI blank screens on Windows, threatening the 'Execution Excellence' directive.
    Q1
How should the Council prioritize Cloud UX stability versus the rollout of new multi-tenant data-plane features?
    • Users report 'tenant invitation requirement' errors preventing platform access (Discord 2026-06-14).
    • Persistent blank screen issues on 'bun run dev:ui' for Windows users (Discord 2026-06-14).
1Halt all new infrastructure deployments until P0 access bugs are resolved.
Prioritizes immediate user retention over long-term scaling milestones.
2Accelerate the transition to the modular data-plane to bypass legacy routing issues.
Assumes new architecture inherently fixes old bugs but risks introducing new regressions.
3Establish a dedicated 'Tiger Team' for Windows/Cloud DX specifically.
Signals a commitment to the 'Developer First' principle by addressing platform-specific friction.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Semantic Delegation & Collaboration Strategy
A significant $7,500 collaboration proposal for semantic delegation and knowledge graphs presents an opportunity to leapfrog current multi-agent coordination capabilities.
    Q2
Should ElizaOS pivot toward deep integration of the ERC-7710 Delegation Framework as a core standard?
    • Saulodigital proposed five missions for Semantic Delegation totaling $7,500 USDC (Discord 2026-06-15).
    • Opportunity to integrate Intuition Knowledge Graph into agent memory layers.
1Accept the proposal as a core R&D initiative for Eliza Labs.
Vests the project in a specific delegation standard early in the multi-agent evolution.
2Decline direct funding but provide technical mentorship to keep it community-led.
Preserves treasury resources but risks losing strategic influence over the framework.
3Merge the delegation mission with the existing ElizaOS Framework v1.x roadmap.
Ensures interoperability but may complicate the goal of 'Reliability over feature quantity'.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Repository Consolidation & Contributor Concentration
All development work has been successfully consolidated into the 'eliza' repository, but activity logs show a heavy reliance on a single high-impact contributor.
    Q3
How can we mitigate the 'Bus Factor' risk while maintaining the current high velocity of NubsCarson?
    • NubsCarson authored critical PRs #8293, #8231, and #8161, and fixed the orchestrator TOCTOU race (GitHub Summary).
    • Odilitime confirmed all work consolidated into the 'eliza' repository (Discord 2026-06-15).
1Implement a mandatory 'Shadow Program' for all top-level architecture PRs.
Slows down current velocity to build long-term knowledge resilience.
2Incentivize documentation for critical paths (Cloud Apps/Orchestrator) via community bounties.
Matches 'Taming Information' summary goals to empower other developers via better docs.
3Maintain the status quo but increase the frequency of Council-led technical audits.
Accepts high concentration risk while providing oversight of critical security paths.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
