North Star & Strategic Context

This file combines the overall project mission (North Star) and summaries of key strategic documents for use in AI prompts, particularly for the AI Agent Council context generation.

Last Updated: December 2025

---

North Star: To build the most reliable, developer-friendly open-source AI agent framework and cloud platform—enabling builders worldwide to deploy autonomous agents that work seamlessly across chains and platforms. We create infrastructure where agents and humans collaborate, forming the foundation for a decentralized AI economy that accelerates the path toward beneficial AGI.

---

Core Principles: 1. **Execution Excellence** - Reliability and seamless UX over feature quantity 2. **Developer First** - Great DX attracts builders; builders create ecosystem value 3. **Open & Composable** - Multi-agent systems that interoperate across platforms 4. **Trust Through Shipping** - Build community confidence through consistent delivery

---

Current Product Focus (Dec 2025):
  • **ElizaOS Framework** (v1.6.x) - The core TypeScript toolkit for building persistent, interoperable agents
  • **ElizaOS Cloud** - Managed deployment platform with integrated storage and cross-chain capabilities
  • **Flagship Agents** - Reference implementations (Eli5, Otaku) demonstrating platform capabilities
  • **Cross-Chain Infrastructure** - Native support for multi-chain agent operations via Jeju/x402

  • ---

ElizaOS Mission Summary: ElizaOS is an open-source "operating system for AI agents" aimed at decentralizing AI development. Built on three pillars: 1) The Eliza Framework (TypeScript toolkit for persistent agents), 2) AI-Enhanced Governance (building toward autonomous DAOs), and 3) Eliza Labs (R&D driving cloud, cross-chain, and multi-agent capabilities). The native token coordinates the ecosystem. The vision is an intelligent internet built on open protocols and collaboration.

    ---

Taming Information Summary: Addresses the challenge of information scattered across platforms (Discord, GitHub, X). Uses AI agents as "bridges" to collect, wrangle (summarize/tag), and distribute information in various formats (JSON, MD, RSS, dashboards, council episodes). Treats documentation as a first-class citizen to empower AI assistants and streamline community operations.
    Daily Strategic Focus
The successful hardware-level emulation of elizaOS on RISC-V represents a critical leap toward hardware-agnostic AI agent autonomy and sovereign infrastructure.
    Monthly Goal
December 2025: Execution excellence—complete token migration with high success rate, launch ElizaOS Cloud, stabilize flagship agents, and build developer trust through reliability and clear documentation.

    Key Deliberations

    Hardware Abstraction & RISC-V Sovereignty
Technical success in booting elizaOS on an emulated RISC-V 'Eliza E1' chip marks a shift from cloud-dependency to bare-metal potential.
    Q1
Should the Council prioritize the development of physical Eliza E1 silicon to ensure infrastructure sovereignty?
    • shawmakesmagic confirmed Eliza v3 is running on elizaOS emulated RISC-V chip 'eliza e1'.
    • zadayos successfully booted ElizaOS Debian RISC-V 64-bit ISO in 35 seconds.
1Full acceleration into physical chip R&D.
Secures the highest level of trust and performance but risks significant capital expenditure.
2Remain on emulation and standard hardware for now.
3Partner with existing RISC-V manufacturers for an 'elizaOS certified' hardware line.
Balances sovereignty with production scalability through ecosystem collaboration.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Economic Consolidation & Strategic Pivot
The cancellation of the Babylon airdrop due to budget constraints necessitates a total focus on $elizaOS token utility and profitability.
    Q2
How should the community's expectation for ecosystem rewards be managed following the Babylon airdrop cancellation?
    • shawmakesmagic announced Babylon airdrop will not proceed due to budget constraints.
    • zadayos advocated for a single-token focus similar to ETH/SOL utility models.
1Pivot to a 'Value-Accrual-First' model, linking $elizaOS directly to Cloud revenue.
Shifts community focus from speculative drops to long-term protocol health and profitability.
    2Re-allocate legacy/unclaimed tokens for a future performance-based contributor grant.
Rewards execution excellence over passive holding, aligning with core principles.
3Adopt a single-token focus and leave all secondary token creation to the market.
Simplifies the economic model and reduces 'airdrop-hunting' friction in the developer ecosystem.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Execution Excellence vs. Feature Bloat
With v2.0.2 released and Cloud infrastructure maturing, the focus returns to the reliability and security of cross-chain agent operations.
    Q3
Given the 'Developer First' principle, should we freeze new features to focus exclusively on documentation and SDK stability?
    • v2.0.2 released May 19, 2026, introducing Owner+Agent identity architecture.
    • Community requested release notes and better documentation for v2.0.0.
1Declare a 'Stability Month' for documentation and bug-squashing.
Builds high trust with enterprise builders but may slow down the 'Trust (and Hype) through Shipping' momentum.
2Continue the current rapid release cycle but automate documentation from code.
Maintains high velocity while partially addressing DX friction.
3Expand the specialized 'Documentation Agent' fleet to bridge the scattering of info.
Utilizes our own tech stack to solve the 'Taming Information' strategic challenge.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
