North Star & Strategic Context

This file combines the overall project mission (North Star) and summaries of key strategic documents for use in AI prompts, particularly for the AI Agent Council context generation.

Last Updated: December 2025

---

North Star: To build the most reliable, developer-friendly open-source AI agent framework and cloud platform—enabling builders worldwide to deploy autonomous agents that work seamlessly across chains and platforms. We create infrastructure where agents and humans collaborate, forming the foundation for a decentralized AI economy that accelerates the path toward beneficial AGI.

---

Core Principles: 1. **Execution Excellence** - Reliability and seamless UX over feature quantity 2. **Developer First** - Great DX attracts builders; builders create ecosystem value 3. **Open & Composable** - Multi-agent systems that interoperate across platforms 4. **Trust Through Shipping** - Build community confidence through consistent delivery

---

Current Product Focus (Dec 2025):
  • **ElizaOS Framework** (v1.6.x) - The core TypeScript toolkit for building persistent, interoperable agents
  • **ElizaOS Cloud** - Managed deployment platform with integrated storage and cross-chain capabilities
  • **Flagship Agents** - Reference implementations (Eli5, Otaku) demonstrating platform capabilities
  • **Cross-Chain Infrastructure** - Native support for multi-chain agent operations via Jeju/x402

  • ---

ElizaOS Mission Summary: ElizaOS is an open-source "operating system for AI agents" aimed at decentralizing AI development. Built on three pillars: 1) The Eliza Framework (TypeScript toolkit for persistent agents), 2) AI-Enhanced Governance (building toward autonomous DAOs), and 3) Eliza Labs (R&D driving cloud, cross-chain, and multi-agent capabilities). The native token coordinates the ecosystem. The vision is an intelligent internet built on open protocols and collaboration.

    ---

Taming Information Summary: Addresses the challenge of information scattered across platforms (Discord, GitHub, X). Uses AI agents as "bridges" to collect, wrangle (summarize/tag), and distribute information in various formats (JSON, MD, RSS, dashboards, council episodes). Treats documentation as a first-class citizen to empower AI assistants and streamline community operations.
    Daily Strategic Focus
The project faces a critical divergence between successful ecosystem R&D (Ensoul, Moltraffle) and severe operational friction in ElizaOS Cloud stability and token community sentiment.
    Monthly Goal
December 2025: Execution excellence—complete token migration with high success rate, launch ElizaOS Cloud, stabilize flagship agents, and build developer trust through reliability and clear documentation.

    Key Deliberations

    Cloud Infrastructure & DX Reliability
Recent logs indicate critical deployment failures within ElizaOS Cloud, specifically involving plugin module resolution and Docker image build delays, threatening the 'Execution Excellence' mandate.
    Q1
How should the Council prioritize ElizaOS Cloud stability against the current roadmap of feature-heavy launches like Babylon and Milady?
    • jin: Failed deployment with 'Cannot find module @elizaos/plugin-discord' error.
    • Odilitime: Suspects missing folder in packages directory; investigation ongoing.
1Freeze feature launches to conduct an emergency infrastructure audit.
Ensures reliability but risks losing marketing momentum from upcoming app launches.
2Maintain parallel tracks: Proceed with Milady/Babylon while Odilitime leads a sub-team for Cloud hotfixes.
Balances growth and stability but increases burnout risk for core contributors.
3Pivot Cloud to a 'Closed Beta' status to reduce public DX friction until CLI/GUI parity is achieved.
Protects developer trust by managing expectations at the cost of immediate user growth.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Token Utility & Governance Trust
The community is reporting 99% price declines and perceived leadership absence, creating a 'Trust Through Shipping' deficit despite ongoing technical progress.
    Q2
Should the Council mandate a formal transparency protocol for the Founder/Lead to address Discord-specific concerns directly?
    • Community: Shaw criticized for being active on Twitter but absent from Discord.
    • Odilitime: Defending commitment but currently functioning as the sole active liaison.
1Establish a weekly 'State of the OS' Discord Town Hall with mandatory core team attendance.
Restores community trust through direct accountability.
2Transition community management entirely to AI-Agent liaisons based on Taming Information principles.
Scalable communication that demonstrates framework utility but may feel impersonal during a crisis.
3Focus strictly on technical deliverables (Milady/Babylon) to let 'Trust Through Shipping' resolve sentiment naturally.
Prioritizes code over PR, adhering to Core Principle 4.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
    Q3
What strategic mechanism should be prioritized to link ElizaOS Cloud revenue back to token utility?
    • Odilitime: Confirmed Cloud is generating revenue, but buyback plans remain uncertain.
1Implement immediate automated buyback-and-burn via Cloud revenue smart contracts.
Directly links product success to tokenomics but reduces treasury for R&D.
2Launch a staking tier for ElizaOS Cloud credits using the native token.
Creates ecosystem-locked value and incentivizes long-term holding.
3Delay token utility changes until the ElizaOS Framework v2.0 refactor is complete.
Ensures utility is built on stable architecture but risks further community attrition.
4Other / More discussion needed / None of the above.
